“hydro-hedrons II”: a battle between water and fire.
It´s an exploration of the sound created by the collision between two elements: water and fire.
the installation was composed of an ice icosahedron (solid linked to water) that melted on top of an iron tetrahedron (solid linked to fire). each drop´s sound when falling down was amplified and processed by an algorithm created with pure data. the sounds represent recordings of several battles between water and fire.
materials: an icosahedron shaped ice block, an iron tetrahedron with a resistor of 200w, 1W led, an electric microphone, a raspberry pi, a genelect speacker.
