“unknown visions of mar del plata” this film was created thanks to a collaboration whith sarojini lewis during her residence in LPEP. the idea started when some film was found on the street and some more bought in a second hand store. by coincidence both films contained holiday footage captured in mar del plata, the coastal city of buenos aires. we transformed this material into a remake filmed 30 or 40 years before in the same locations.
it is a reflexion about the use of one of the first popular formats for homemade films. the result is an expanded cinema projection composed of 3 film reels in a triptych. the film also has a digital version in single chanel.
