“asteroid-e” is a sound installation that explores the projection of sound in space. in a space x an asteroid orbits with a bluetooth speaker inside. the sound it projects bounces off different corners of the space generating different harmonics, depending on the position of the speaker in the space. the emitted frequencies vary according to the spectator’s position in the space through an algorithmic composition and ultrasonic sensors, from which a sound design was created experimenting with white noise and fm synthesis that responds to a sonic fiction of how an asteroid entering the biosphere would sound to me.
