A suspended asteroid slowly orbits, carrying a bluetooth speaker that projects frequencies generated through white noise, am and fm synthesis. As it moves and rotates, its sound bounces through the room, producing shifting harmonics that respond to the asteroid’s position and the spectator’s location in space. The installation creates a sonic fiction of what an asteroid entering the biosphere might sound like, giving an otherwise imperceptible cosmic event a human presence.
