“solids” it is a process over time in which an ice cube melts and detaches from a stone. this process brings geological time scales into the exhibition space, where the viewer only witnesses fragments of the process. inspired by timothy morton’s concept of hyperobject applied to global warming, the piece reproduces that impossibility of complete apprehension: the process continues independently of our presence and we can only access partial moments of the transformation.
