“mushrooms also remember” the project explores the deterioration of analog formats caused by fungi and bacteria. film, slides, and magnetic tape have been contaminated with them for several months. it’s not strange that bacteria and mushrooms like eating film. this material is composed of an edible jelly, like the ones that laboratories use to cultivate bacteria.
with the result of this material, different installations were set up in the space: a magnetophone with a 3-meter loop, two super 8 projectors with loops and external shutters projected onto a helmet-screen, and several slide viewers around the space.
